Powerline question

I'm currently using 2 powerline adapters to get network from upstairs to downstairs for my Media PC, if I want to add another device to another room (the bedroom for example) do I need to get another pair of adapters? or can I use a single for the other room? I've tried using a wireless adapter but seems to struggle with the speed.

(I'm not sure if they work in tandem, or have to be paired together).

You should be able to buy a single one (I'd recommend its the same brand and speed etc just to avoid problems) and then it'll recognise it
