Hello all,

Just wondering is anyone else is having problems getting powernap to work with their mac?
I'm trying to get it working on my MBPr but certain features just dont want to work. The main thing I'm trying to get working is the 'find my mac' when in sleep mode, I've downloaded the PN update and set it to work in settings when on battery and plugged into the mains but when I close the lid and try to locate this using the 'find my iphone' app on either my iPhone or iPad but it does not give me a current location just a note of when it was last located.
Last night I tried to reset the SMC (not sure if this worked) and this seems to have had no effect either - my next option would be to do a clean install of ML and try again. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they got it working

Is this one of the features that utilises power nap?

Just had a quick look on the apple website and they only mention Notes, Messages, Email, Calendar, Time Machine and Updates.

Uncheck the option in Energy Saver that allows network activity to wake the machine. That's the only thing I found that worked, alas I expect that'll break the Find my Mac feature...
