Powerpoint - Saving it as a Movie

Hi Guys

My girlfriend has been asked to save a powerpoint presentation so that it can be put onto a dvd to be played on a loop in all their practices.

I've seen what look to be conversion programs after a quick google but is there any better way to do it?

I thought perhaps save it as a gif and put it into Movie Maker or something but i'm sure there must be a simpler way

Imo, the best bet would be to set up the presentation to play in a loop then use the 'publish' tool to put it onto a dvd with the powerpoint viewer. Then she can just run it from there.
