powersupply dead? no go with ultra

hey guys about 2 weeks ago i had some problem with waking up from sleep with windows and got a few bsods. then when i tried rebooting i got the video hardware error post beep (long 2 short on 780i) so i sent the card back to ocuk and purchased an ati one to do me till its back. the ati card works flawlessly. i got the card bacj to day and there is no fault with it say ocuk. so i plug it back in and once again i get the beeps. now on the ati card, is my psu caput?

what card's do you have and what make of psu ?

its an ernemax 720 watt infiniti with an 8800 ultra ko overclocked, 4 gig of ram, q6600 at stock clocks, 1 hrddrive 2 dvd writers

That PSU must see a Min of XX watts to even boot (its protection).

I have the same PSU and zero issues but I read the protection can go wrong, sound like that and you need a to send them a mail.

psu isn't over stressed so doesnt look good for it

Have you tried booting a minimum system, 1 stick memory, 1hd, 1 gfx card ?

everything all plugged in solid, mobo, gfx card etc ?

i have tried minimal systm but i will try again now, i am on it now with the ati card and all seems well

its the ati radio 3450 pci-express

the 3450 is likely to use a lot less power than the 8800ultra, so if it carrys on working ok could well point to a psu issue.

thats what i assumed. ill keep this psu untill i get my laptop back then ill send it back to where i got it
