Apparently the new generation has 70% higher compute density compared to existing desktop GPUs, and advanced multi-core features. Well the more advanced muti core features is expected they have always been ahead of NVidia/AMD in that. But the higher compute density they really need to back up with evidence. They always had better density but 70% is a lot and they have not proven they can scale up to desktop level in over a decade. Due to the nature of the there GPU's designs I can see this scaling really well in cloud computing.

The blog says "And I’m excited to say that we have five customers targeting the desktop, performance laptop and cloud spaces using the PowerVR GPU architecture."

Considering they had the first desktop ray tracing GPU there is very little mention of the latest generation of ray tracing technology.
