Poxy asus monitor stuck in overdrive!

My brand new ASUS MW221u 22" is only 2 hours old and something is up!
When I used the Splendid button to cycle through the colour settings it seems to have got stuck in the highest setting with overly vibrant colours. Then an enable OverDrive option comes up that cant be gotten rid of without powering down the pc for a few minutes. Cant get back into the screen menu at all now without starting the damn OverDrive message again.
Any ideas anyone!!
Please dont say I have to return it!

Cheers holding the menu button has got rid of the vibrant colours but it has brought back the Enable overdrive menu option which doesnt leave the screen!!
This function isnt even listed in the documentation:(

if the overdrive option appears press the splendid key twice and it should disapear but if it keeps popping up of it's own free will along with colours turning to crap ona regular basis sounds like the firmware or panel is shot.

Return it if that's the case :(
 
I have tried to lever the button forward it seems to have fixed it for now but I think its only a temporary solution. I will no doubt be forced to return the darned thing!
