Hello there!
I'm new on the forum and was wondering if anyone could help me. I didn't happen to find much help anywhere else.
Roomie and I are sharing PPPoE connection [wired to switcher to other switcher for the whole house - 4 more ports - to wireless antenna]. That is, I use it - log in with our account, while she doesn't - and round. What I was wondering is if we could be online at the same time.
Her PC is pretty old and had some bad pack of WindowsXP, so i tried installing Ubuntu on hers, as I remember us going online in the same time, while I had Ubuntu.... and it's not working. I'm not much open to replace W7, since I got pretty used to it, and I don't think her PC would manage to swallow such a big bite.
I heard some rumors that, no matter which OS you use, there is only one way for this kind of connection to work on two comps - using some ftp servers or something, but I have noooooo idea about how and does it really work...
Thank you in advance good overclockers
