Hey all,

I've got my Practical Driving Test tomorrow  :D

I'm pretty nervous already - can't imagine what I'm going to be like tomorrow :p

Any tips you guys have for the test?

The test is at 9:22am so I'm being picked up at around 8:15am tomorrow to have a quick hour of practise from my instructor - I'm thinking I should wake up quite early and maybe get a breakfast to keep myself alert for the test? :p

Ideal time for the test really, it's half term so the roads should be nearly empty.

Good times :) Didn't even realise until last week when my instructor told me :p

have a bannana to help with butterflies.

Anything you think your not entirely certain of make sure you practice it in the hour before with your instructor but try not to get to worked up about it, your instructor probably thinks your ready so you are capable of getting through it.

Remember when checking mirrors to make it very visible you are doing so.

I had mine at about that time in Kings Norton or Kings Heath forget which one and had all the school run mums to deal with....was not pretty. Will give you something to talk to the instructor about though, I remember I kept on talking about how rubbish all the other drivers on the road were :P

Good luck, obligatory "once you pass thats when you really start to learn to drive" comment :)

Thanks for the tips buddy :)

I'm just trying to think as postively as I can :)

Mostly worried about the maneuver as I think I can drive fairly confidently... Just hope no other drivers mess me up :p

Best of luck with it mate! Just after the morning rush should be a decent enough time to take it.

I just passed on Friday! Had a 13:35 test slot so was nice and quite on the roads outside of city centre (Exeter). The new test with it's independent section is really straight forward and nothing to worry about if you're confident enough, which you should be. Think I pulled 4 minors total, 1 for speed, and 2 for my manouver (reverse left), not sure on the other.

Best of luck. Spent 90% of yesterday whizzing about enjoying the freedom of my Golf Gti (the bestest best car in the whole entire world, naturally ;)) and it's the best feeling out there!

Thanks pal :) Congrats on passing last week :) Lucky having a Golf GTI! I love that car :D I currently have a little Peugeot 106 sitting outside ahaha :p Can't wait to enjoy this "freedom" everyone keeps talking about :p

Thanks for the tips guys :)

Starting to feel pretty nervous now :p Just going to try and get an early night and keep my head clear :p

Yeah I'm having a lesson beforehand so I'm starting at 8.15am to do some more practises...

Would it be a good idea to have my instructor sit in with me or not? I was thinking I won't...

Just got back from the test centre...

And... I PASSED :D

Well chuffed :) Off to call my insurer now and to take my first solo drive  Nervous! :p

In before the "now the learning really begins".

Its true though. Remember that you only need to screw up twice with a speed camera or the like and you'll have to do all this again.

Enjoy the new found freedom but respect it :)
Yeah I definitely don't want to have to go and do that again :p Ill definitely watch what I'm doing :)

Thanks for your kind comments guys :)
