I have managed to get a quest 2 and have also been trying to get the VR mods working for RE3 & RE7 DX11 beta versions but here lies the problem.

Whenever I load the game up via the OpenXR runtime using Virtual Desktop, the camera angle is glitched and I am 7 to 8 feet off the ground. However when I boot the game up using Airlink, the camera height is fine but the frame rate is around 30 vs 60 from VD.

I prefer using VD because I get smooth stutter free motion with games and was wondering if anyone has managed to get the RE VR mods working using VD?

Thanks

Just tried RE3 and had the same issue.
Fixed it by opening REFramework UI using insert key in desktop view while having the game running and clicking Set Standing Height under VR.

Which OpenXR runtime are you using?
Virtual Desktop, Oculus or Steam?

Have you tried a different one?
Using VDXR via virtual desktop. I have tried airlink and the height is fine but the performance is much worse which is why I want to try and get it working on virtual desktop.

I couldn't get the VR menu to open up in-game wearing the VR headset despite looking and pointing at my left palm but was able to get to the menu by switching back to desktop and after clicking on Set Standing, it corrects the height.

However, when I close the game and restart, the height isn't save and I have to go through the VR menu again which is a real pain!

Does anyone know how to save the correct height?

Performance between Virtual desktop and Airlink shouldn't be that big. Check what resolution and refresh rate you are using in the Oculus App and compare that to what you are using in Virtual Desktop.

There is something weird going on with that mod when using airlink as for me it runs at like 5fps while VD runs fine.
That’s in RE3, RE2 runs fine in airlink.

If running Airlink you need to make sure you are using the Oculus OpenXR runtime, and not the SteamVR version.

The Oculus App will warn you if the Oculus OpenXR runtime isn't set as the default.
