guys im in need of a pre-built sytem that i will be using for gaming,rendering-recording videos and general use but im on a 600£ budget and need to no what is what one is the best for my money,i could go over but would rather go under my budget thank you.;)

ok but would the 1024mb make a difference plus it comes with a game, hehee.
Depending on the res you game at. At 1680x1050 or below...not so much, but for 1920x1200, there might be odd games that will use up all the VRAM, so most people would go for the 1GB version to give themselves more headroom. Also bare in mind that the 1GB version has 32ROPs and 256-bits memory interface vs 768MB version's 24ROPs and 192-bits memory interface...but also do remember that the 1GB version will cost £40-£50 more than the 768MB version ;)

If you can afford the 1024 mb version just get it so you dont have the 'little nag' that it could have been better when you have it. The 1024 version is approx 10% faster in most resolutions than its little brother.

True, but we are talking about extra 33% cost for extra 10% speed, so I guess it's down to how much someone is prepared to pay.

The 1GB is still amazing value for money compared to almost everything else - just not quite as amazing as the 768MB. If the game bundle with a 1GB is attractive to you I guess it's a no brainer.

Yea. GTX460 1GB is great for it's price. But for people like me who only got a 1680x1050 monitor, the decision between the 768MB and the 1GB version is harder...£125 vs £170 :p

If the GTX460 1GB was £150, the it would be easier to stretch to lol

Yup totally agree with you. Same reason I got a 5850 instead of a 5870. 10% performance for 33% more cost

guys im gettin the 768mb because im not in need of anything better, for now,but i could easily pick out a mouse keyboard and mouse pad but not a monitor i already have a samsung syncmaster 2033hd which ive been using for quite some time for general use and xb360 but can this monitor take gtx 460 or would i need a new monitor.thank you for all your help.

The monitor will be fine with the card. Usually you judge if the card will be good enough for the monitor :D

What resolution is the monitor??

The card will have no problem driving that monitor. If you have some money left and space you might even think of getting a 24" monitor to replace the old sammy you have.

But at a cost- £690 with the GTX460 768MB.

Also, don't need that kinda of CPU power, unless he's gonna crossfire/sli two mid-range or high-end card (i.e. GTX460 1GB/5850/GTX470). Also that motherboard with the i5 760 build won't crossfire/sli properly, as the 2nd PCI-E x16 slot would only run at 4x when crossfire/sli:

The Exodus is a good choice especially if you are encoding and will be a lot faster than the Xenomorph systemn however you do pay for it. Having a quad core CPU over a HT dual core is a no brainer.

This being said the Xenomorph system is fantatsic for games but depending on what you want to be encoding it could leave you wanting more. All dependant on how much money you want to spend.

For only £15 more than the Exodus spec you posted you could get the Cyborg system, which comes with a GTX 470 rather than a 460 so it has a lot more GFX power. The 955 pretty much matches the i5 760 in this situation but the 760 would have the edge because of the extra clock speed.

However there is the Decimator system, AMD six core with a GTX 460 1GB for £690 notes, this is definatly your best bet.

One thing I noticed is that OcUK doesn't do a Phenom II X4 955BE overclocked bundle or pre-build system using a 8xx chipset board with USB3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s (the current range are using a 760G chipset board...), was wondering would it be something OcUK would consider doing in the future?
