Hi Everyone,

I have been console gaming for a long time but now want to make the jump to PC but at this stage am not considering building my own.

This PC will be used for Sim Racing, mainly iRacing and Assetto Corsa. Reviewing minimum requirements for iRacing I believe it more than ticks the boxes. However, I would like to know if the below specs are worth £850 asking price?

iRacing minimum specs - https://www.iracing.com/membership/system-requirements/

CPU: Intel i9-11900K 8 core CPU

GPU: EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra 8GB

RAM: 32GB DDR4 (2x16GB 3200MHz cl16) dual channel XMP activated.

SSD: 1TB Data SX8200 pro showing 100% life left on SMART.

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero Z590.

PSU: Corsair RM 750X Gold rated with custom Corsair cables.

CPU Cooler: Arctic LFII 280mn AIO

Case: New Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact

Cooling: 2x140mm and 1x120mm Fractal exhaust fans. The Arctic AIO has 2x140mm fans too.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Im assuming this is a second hand pc as there is no reason to state the ssd life left otherwise.

Its got some older high end parts and the only potential issues are the lack of ram on the 3070 and the fact there is no upgrade path without buying a new motherboard as well.

Is it worth £850?? Possibly if it includes any warrenty and windows as long as your happy with the limitations.

From the benchmarks on hardware unboxed, Assetto Corsa loves X3D CPUs, so I'd probably try a build around one of those.

This isn't a bad build for the money, but the 11900K isn't ideal (high power consumption) and 8GB graphics cards have had their day. On the plus side, the secondary components sound decent, e.g. they didn't skimp on the motherboard, CPU cooler, the PSU or the case (which pre-builds usually do).
