I`m a bit out of the loop with regard to whats great and whats not so great in pc builds having used a laptop for a few years.

I am considering purchasing a pre-built rig from here and would appreciate your opinion very much :-)

Primarily looking at this system

with this monitor

I plan to upgrade the gpu to either a 4890 or a gtx 260 "216" but am a little torn between those two.

Does anyone have a similar system & gpu ?

Also, it doesnt say on the spec what the psu is. Anyone have any idea?

Appreciate your thoughts guys

Gelid Silent Spirit CPU Cooler

Wouldn't be my first choice - I'd ring up and ask them to change that to a Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer for a fiver.

Looks ok. Think I'd go for the 4890 as IIRC the 260 and 4870 were the cards that were pretty much on par, so 4890 is probably worth the extra £20 for a 23" monitor.

Any particular reason for not building yourself? What are the uses going to be?

Thanks for the replies, its going to be purely for gaming and browsing.

I lack the confidence to build it myself if im honest. Its been a long long time since I dabbled in building

a pc from scratch. I did a quick tote up of all the parts, added a better cooler as suggested by audigex

and there wasnt a lot in the price vs the pre-built spec.
