pre-load steam games

Is it possible to pre-load any steam game, more importantly HL2

M, so i can play sourceforts

It won't be illegal as i won't actually be allowed to play hl2:dm just have it installed, sort of like cs:s when you need hl2 pre-loaded. Just wondering if its possible :confused:

ok, I've found out that i possibly need this file

steam>appcache>app_320.pkv

that is HL2: DM , if someone could e-mail me that file, it might enable me to pre-load it and possibly play sourceforts, would be much appreciated, send to [email protected]

by the way, I've checked and none of this is illegal

i misunderstood what you were asking, sorry.

and i dont think it would work as im sure that each file is unique to that persons account.

yer I've decided to give up, just in case steam are iffy about it

was just about to say, i opened the file in notepad ++, doesnt seem to be anything to uniquely identify it to my account, but ye, id rather not go through with it, not worth them banning the account.
