Hi seen a few threads on curries but i would like to know if you had to buy a jar/packet of sauce/paste what would you recommend ?
Thanks

If you're looking for a pre-made sauce then I 100000% recommend Previns. You will not find a better pre-made curry. I'll even argue that it's nicer than some Indian take-aways.
Think I'll give them a go at some point. Often make our own from scratch but it is a bit of a bother some nights when I cba.

They're really nice. Bit expensive compared to your regular jar of sauce but they're totally worth it. Only place we know that sells them nearby is a garden centre 30 minutes away but we sometimes make the trip just to get some of their sauce

I bought some of these the other day. I’ll report back when I’ve tried them.

I'd probably have to order online. Tried a few of the other ones mentioned, Pataks and Sharwoods, but they always leave me wishing I had just bought a take away or bothered making my own.

Yeah I find most jar curries taste exactly like that. A jar curry. This stuff is top tier.

Got one of these at the artisan market last week, it's bloody lovely and as the wife is allergic to citrus I get to have a portion and freeze a portion##

Went into their website, and it pop ups, free delivery on all UK orders over £30.

Fine, so I add 8 tubs of masala, £30 something quid, then it wants to add £4.99 weight based delivery.......

Have you ever considered making a base gravy for curries?
You can cook a large batch and freeze portion sizes. just remove one from the freezer the morning before cooking it
You can cook a curry in 10 mins using a base gravy

That's rather annoying! But if you work out how to get the delivery for free, it's totally worth it

Yea but a thing pops up that says free delivery on all UK orders over £30.

But it should say something like, some orders or subject to weight or whatever, but it clearly says "all" orders.

So sorry but they are not getting my money.
Sorry didn’t go any further than the landing page
