Pre-MOT?

Does such a thing exist?

By pre-mot i mean, if i put my car in to the garage and asked them to get it up to scratch so they know it will go through the MOT, will they do it because i don't want to have to pay the MOT fee everytime it fails.

Hasnt the law changed for MOT tests now though so if it fails you have to pay the full amount everytime?

So i should just get them to do the MOT, then get them to fix whats wrong
