My relic of a rig is long overdue upgrades (E6300, 7600GT, 420w PSU) so I'm going to bite the bullet and build a new one.

The only donor parts I'll transfer are a Crucial M4 64Gb (W7 x64 Retail OS drive most likely) and a Sata DVD R/W.

I've spent the last few days furiously researching on here, but before I hit the button could anyone comment if I've made any errors in compatibility with the below basket contents?
Or if I've missed any minor things out like cables/connectors/adapters etc? I'd hate to start the build and get delayed due to waiting for a missing part that cost £5.

And do OcUK do weekend deals or something? I thought it was This Week Only Deals that changed on a Thursday. I've been configuring this over the weekend and today the RAM has went up from £90 to £113 and the monitor from £300 to £350 :(

Ocuk do daily deals and This week only changes on Wednesday's (used to be Thursday) I think the ram and monitor was on the weekend daily special.

Spec looks ok, but what are the main uses of the pc?

It's an all-in-one with most eventualities in mind, including treating myself :)
I want to be able to play recent games at good fps which I can't do now - BF3 etc.
My current rig is probably 5 or 6 years old, so longevity in mind (within reason) IB-E a possible upgrade path.
Case & PSU that'll last me a few builds into the future - right now I have a 420watt so I can't upgrade the GPU as the PSU won't power it.

Thanks for the input RJC - I spent ages switching between 1155 IB and 2011 SB-E and had that Gigabyte Z77 MoBo in my basket for a while.
The reason I chose SB-E was I thought IB ran hot and also the 1155 is now end of life, whereas the 2011 socket will be getting IB-E in the future which will give me an upgrade path. Do you not think it's worthwhile? I guess from what I read in various threads the board seems split 50:50 on this matter.

If you plan on IB-E if it comes out then stick with the 2011,the 3820 clocks to about 4.725Ghz with little effort some have it running @ 5.0ghz

Cheers for the advice, I ordered the 3570K & UD3H. I can always upgrade MoBo/CPU/RAM as and when if needed, now I'll have a decent base platform and peripherals to start with.
Stuck BF3 & Diablo III in my basket with the money saved :D
