Pre-order questions

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm looking to get a couple of games from a certain website on preorder.
What is the deal with preorder....do the games get delivered day of release? When do I actually pay for them? as soon as i buy them, or when they're dispatched?

You should received the game at your house on the day of release. And they don’t normally take the money from you until they post it.

you might even be lucky and get it a couple of days before depending on whether they allow for postage times to ensure you receive it on release day

As they have metioned, most pre orders will be charged when the company post the item, as for when they post it, it really depends, ive had a couple of things a week before the offical release (books) but usually it will arrive a day before or on the same day as the offical release. The reason for this is most companies get thier order thru earlier maybe a week or 2 before the offical release, with explict orders not to sell before the release date, just need to look at that fiasco that was halo 3 were someone sold it too early.
