Pre order?

I know I started another thread about my pc problems, and video cards to upgrade, but since i really want to buy one, and had no problems with OC in past, why is everything pre order?

Nvidia's supplies are dwindling because of the (apparently) impending fermi release, and ATI are having issues with TSMC and working yeilds of chips, leading to low production card numbers.

but what is this "fermi"?

just im waiting for my order to be completed also due to "pre-order"

The next generation GeForce range, GTX360 and 380, based on the GF100 chip. Loads of threads around on the subject, mainly concentrating on how late nVidia are to the market with DX11, the problems surrounding the fermi manufacture, and how the cards have been subject to delay after delay.

All Nvidia GTX2xx cards are now old stock. They are not being made anymore.

The 200 series is now end of life so don't expect any more stock.
Once its gone its gone, as they say.
