Have just downloaded and installed TAT on my PC, but when I try to run it, it comes up with the following error “Error enumerating On Demand Clock Modulation support” and will not open – anyone any ideas why and what I can do about it?

Also I have downloaded 3Dmark05 and 06 – but neither will install – they just say catastrophic error when about 80% through installation and then close. Any ideas?

Once I have these up and running I’ll be attempting to overclock tonight!

Many thanks

Nic

Dunno bout 3dmark as I have no probs with that, but I cannot install TAT either as I get the same error. Just use CoreTemp, I do and have no rpobs with it!

I think its sumin to do with the chipset you are running it on, even though you may have a C2D... but I could be wrong?

Same here TAT doesn't work, I use speedfan but i will give the other a go

Speedfan is no good for me, it doesnt show the temps of each core of my CPU, only the overall CPU temp like the BIOS gives.

So coretemp is the best IMO, but each to their own :)

TAT is better and i've had a version which seams to be damiged as have others over @ xs

Yeah I don't doubt TAT is better, but unfortuntely I don't have the option to validate that theory cos it don't work on my system :)

It TAT actually made by Intel though? I seen places saying its published by them, yet the icon that is associated with it looks like it was done in MS Paint and Intel do not have ANY information about it on their site... nor do they even mention it?

Yes, it really is an Intel tool. They don't distribute it because the 100% stress test can actually damage certain CPU's under very specific circumstances.

Ahh interesting... they should improve its ugly icon though, I'm sure they can do better than that!

I'm picky with things like that :)
