I use the KTC garlic and ginger jars but I usually put it into the ice cube maker and freeze them as cubes, gives them a better taste for whatever science reason

I also have a bag of their ginger in the freezer, these are really good quality imo.
This would be a particularly accommodating holdup XDIf I was held at gunpoint then I'd buy them all and see which I prefer.
Or just mash and freeze some garlic to meet your requirements?

Personally I prepare it a few ways - sliced, chopped, and finely "mashed", and then freeze it in an ice cube tray so I have quick options whenever I need it.
I have yet to make that error, but I know it's coming.Now I know why that gin &:tonic you made tasted so weird...
