Hi there, I have been looking around for almost a week now and basically I want the best gaming rig I can get for the price. If anyone could spec me I would be very grateful.

Ideally, I want something along the lines of I3/I5/FX processor and would love to try and get a HD 7870 and Operating system within budget. Is this possible?
If not is it possible to get an overclocked HD 7850 in a pre-built computer? 1tb hard-drive and 8/16 gb ram would be nice too. I know my budget is modest for a gaming computer and I know it would be cheaper to build seperately but I doubt I would be able to do this.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

thankyou for the reply, is there a set price they charge for building a system? Would it be cheaper to spec the computer myself?

How much worse are the FX processors because this with a hd 7870 and OS comes in on budget. Also is it possible for Overclockers to OC a graphics card on a prebuilt system if requested?

I'm not sure if I'm honest.

Your best bet would be to spec yourself a system(or ask others on here to) then post in the customers services bit asking if they'd be happy to build it for you:)

I think you could save a bit of money and you'd be able to get exactly what you want rather than relying on a prefab.

Fx processors aren't bad but they really don't stand well against intel chips.

I have a phenom 2 955be now they were great processors:) I believe they're only £90 these days so you'd save a lot of money having more to spend elsewhere.

In fact my system of a 955 and msi 7850 plays all games at max settings (single screen) so if your happy for old tech go that way:) if you get a am3+ motherboard at least you'll have the option of a new chip if you start to struggle in games to come.

it's the motherboard I struggle on, is there any that I should particularly avoid and is it advisable that I have a PSU over 600w?

I would rather go Intel but for me the important thing is getting a 7870 or overclocked 7850 so if I can get them in budget with the operating system I would go for an intel. I've seen this spec for £595

Intel i5 3330 Quad Core
1155 Asus P8B75-M LX
8GB DDR3 Corsair 1600 (2 x 4Gb)
Integrated Sound Card
Manufacturer Supplied Cooler
DVD+/- RW - 22X Samsung SATA
500GB SATA Hard Drive SATA 3
No Secondary Hard Drive
ATI HD 7850 (2048MB PCI Express DDR DVI)
CiT 3391BB Black Midi Gaming Case Blue fans No PSU
Powercool 650W High Efficiency Black PSU
Windows 8 Home premium 64 bit

would you say that is decent for the price? Or could you spec something similar?

I would say that's a good build(huge psu though) but bacons build if you can stretch the extra £25 would be a huge step forward.(case?)

I have the se gpu and its brilliant, lots of overclocking head room.

ok thankyou for the specs, so if i asked the customer service to build that spec for me, fo a premium they may do?!

I don't know, chances are they won't because they have their own conigurator. However it is really easy to build your own system, its like a jigsaw puzzle.

Literally everything just plugs and screws together its hard to screw up. If you have to force somthing in the chances are it doesn't go there:)

Just make sure to have a clean surface and make sure to take anti static precautions.

And what CPU would you get which wouldnt go over £600...
Also the GPU is better than the 7850 and also the base 7850 MSI is voltage locked.
