Hi,

Hoping someone can offer some advice before this pc goes back to the retailer - was purchased from a competitor that I've been less than impressed with and won't be using ever again.

Specs of the machine are:
• Ryzen 5600G
• Asus Prime B550M-K
• 16GB Adata (3200mhz I think)
• Corsair RM750
• 1TB Western Digital M2

Basically, the computer turns on but no video is outputted. Obviously this is plugged into the motherboard and not a GPU which should not be a problem because we're using the 5600G here. There is also a permanent orange light on the motherboard in the lower left corner, but I'm unsure what this signifies as the manual isn't any help.

Have tried all the usual stuff, multiple cables, multiple monitors, reseating the RAM, CMOS battery, checking cables are plugged in properly etc.

Obviously I'm extremely disappointed, even more so because its a Christmas present for the daughter and looks like it's gotta go back - and judging by their service it won't be back in time for the big day. Even more miffed by the fact its turned up late, and it was supposed to have Windows 11 Pro installed but failing to see how this was achieved when the computer won't even display a video output.

Any and all advice is appreciated before I arrange for it to go back on Monday.

Thanks,
Danny

Is it this motherboard? If so looking at the manual I cannot see an LED on the board lay out or labelled on it

Have you tried the following?

- Tried booting with 1 stick of ram? if it does not boot try the other stick (assuming its 2 x 8GB kit) or a different ram slot
- Tested the ram on another system or tested ram from a working PC? (If possible)
- If its a system you have built try and loosen off the CPU cooler in case this is too tight. Sometimes this can bend the board and cause issues.
- Do you have a spare gpu to put in and test?
- Is it possible to try 1 of the other display outputs like VGA or DVI?

Thanks for the response.

That's the correct motherboard yeah, also couldn't see it listed in the manual. I tried uploading a picture but failed at that.

Yep, tried booting with just 1 ram stick in all different slots and combinations etc. Unfortunately no spare GPU to hand at the moment to try. I did try all of the display outputs though with the exception of vga as didn't have a cable.

I'm not confident this pc even has the 5600G in that I paid for tbh. Realised today that I didn't even order the Corsair PSU or the Adata RAM. Looking back at my receipt I paid for EVGA Gold 650 and Corsair Vengeance RAM. So I have zero faith the company has even put the correct cpu in, and its probably a non-G version hence why I'm getting no video output. I've sent them a less than impressed email and the machine will be getting sent back tomorrow.

sounds like the best option.

Hope you get it sorted asap or a PC in time for Christmas
