The Predator X27 seems to have found a great balance between image quality and speed. At the very least, it is the first 4K monitor with HDR support running at 144Hz. It also supports G-Sync for smooth game play with compatible Nvidia GeForce graphics cards and GPUs.

If it's brightness you crave, the Predator X27 is rated to hit 1,000 nits courtesy of 384 individually controlled LED zones. Most monitors offer a brightness level of between 250 and 350 nits.

Beyond the brightness level, Acer says its panel offers up 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color space. It also features Quantum Dot enhancement film technology, 178-degree viewing angles, Nvidia's ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur) technology, and Tobii eye-tracking technology.

Pretty sweet looking. Although i could do without the hood and the eye-tracking bar.

Here you get an accurate representation of what the 384 zone spacing looks like:

This is a lovely monitor and the eye tracking is a plus for me personally but 1500 on a monitor is just crazy! Yes i agree the tech is great but come on, just because you have managed to slap G Sync, 144Hz and 4k with a stuck on Tobii Eye tracker does not mean you can wack the price up by 50% against other top of the range monitors!

Yes i know that price has not yet been disclosed but if i was a betting man it would be 1500 in the US and UK.

Sure it does. These new 4K 144 Hz FALD displays have no equal. Not sure why people think that new tech that absolutely destroys everything currently out there should cost the same?

ASUS has already stated that their version will be 2,000 GBP/USD/EURO, so I would expect this around the same. Hell, the Dell monitor releasing with the same panel but only 60 Hz press release price was $1,999.

Pah, in our dreams. This thing goes for 2k (GBP/USD ...no difference these days).

-G-sync. Seriously... the premium for G-sync these days is ridiculous. Especially when one considers the cost (or lack thereof) of the competing feature FreeSync, which does the same thing (but just not for Nvidia GPUs, since Nvidia refuse to support FreeSync) for much better value. I'm told that FreeSync range and early issues have been ironed out for FreeSync by now. I will say that it makes a bit more sense at 4k, since framerate will be lower and that's where G-sync/FreeSync shines, but then this monitor does up to 144Hz.
.

Until you realize that this new G-Sync chip is the first Displayport 1.4 adaptive sync item on the market. There is no such thing as a DP 1.4 TCon with Freesync 2 even mentioned as of yet, let alone already going into a product like the new G-Sync chip.
