Hi all, my PC has just blown up. I need a new one this week. I only use it for general business and online mmo's nothing demanding.

With the new SB fault could you recommend a new pc pre built one from OC either with SB or an older or different technology?

I read that SB fault only effected certain ports, so with me using only an SSD and a hardrive and I asked OC to use the working port for those? Would that work for what I need the pc for?

I normally change my pc every 3 years, but I need a new one this week. Either SB or Older technology if cheap enough?

Many thanks for any advice given.

Hi thanks for your responses, something that will possibly last me 3 years? As I said only using for not very demanding gaming, only wow and the new star wars one when its out.

Budget can be up to 1000.00 with monitor keyboard and mouse small sdd.

Don't think I need to spend that much though for what I need it for.

What do you guys think?

May thanks

My heart skipped a beat

I would do either the following:
Build a SB desktop
Wait until mid April+ for AMD's bulldozer to be released.

Lol just noticed, don't worry :)

So with me just using an SSD, hard drive and a disk drive I am able to skip the affected ports?

I have spotted this from OC - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-176-OE

What card would you upgrade to or is that card sufficient ?

Thanks once again for any input.
