I see a lot of you guys are Corsair fans, I've ordered the i7 920 @ 4Ghz bundle that was on the last weeks discounts plus the powercolor 4890 with battleforge. I went for a cheaper PSU (alarm bells ringing?) and went with the OCZ 780W that was only £60 inc vat. Must admit, I'm feeling a bit sheepish and don't know if this was a major mistake as the corsair @ 750w is £95 something.

Just want a bit of guidance really.

Thanks

Alex.

That PSU should be okay, it's not the worst brand in the world. Every batch has a possibility of being bad. Basically, every manufacturer makes a good PSU. The amount of good one's in a batch against the amount of bad one's in a batch depends on the manufacturer. There's always going to be one or two duds, but there aren't that many with OCZ, and there are less with Corsair (who's PSUs are manufactured by SeaSonic, so they have great one's too).

It should be okay, but if you're really worried about it try it in a different (older) system first that you would be less worried about loosing :p

Thanks, that's helped put my mind at ease. Fingers crossed I can get it all to work when it arrives. :)
