Maybe funny but thats true for me.

I seem to dislike gaming in daylight and even just prefer it later in the small hours.

I used to game a lot during the day also but now I kinda fel wierd gaming then and cba.

Its like watching a movie its better in bed at night in the dark lol

Know what I mean?

Yes, entirely understand what you mean. I like the stillness of the night, and playing games like Amnesia (changes the serene, peaceful atmosphere to a unsettled one shall we say :D). Though, actually I find it depends on the game, for example I seem to play a bit better at CS:S in the daytime.

Yup, two in the morning onwards. I hate gaming with cheating whining kids online and i found the middle of the night is the best time to play, when all the little cherubs are in bed.

Couldnt agree more (hence posting at this time :P)
Less distractions as everyone else is in bed, so you can focus.
No screen glare
its usually cooler temp wise helping you relax.
Ping/lagg usually a lot less, no traffic shaping/other people in house online.
School kids are all in bed, which means you are usually gaming with aged 18+
Level of play is far better :) as is the level of convosation.

Couldn't have said it better myself but only for multiplayer games in my case. The difference in multiplayer quality is night and day. More importantly, the wife isn't around so I'm able to overcome the guilt of sitting in front of a box instead of interacting with humans.

Then again... aren't we all at work in the day regardless?

It feels wrong gaming in the day time to me, on pc or console. Had a heated discussion about the same kinda thing with a mate the other day :p. Evening is the perfect time for playing games and stuff as-long as its all in moderation. Many times iv gone overboard with gaming specially when i was playing wow, but since quitting my gaming hours have decreased a lot, which is a good thing i think.
