Prelude Standar Alarm system

Anyone know anything about the standar fitted alarm on a 92 prelude? I have one and every now and then whne i go and start the engine it does not start, like the imobilzer has cut in. Been doing it for a while now and is really annoying at petrol stations ! lol
Anyway, it did it a few days ago, normally i have to get out lock and alarm the car, sometimes wait five mins and then all is fine. This time however it did not work, but i noticed that when i alarmed the car it flashed twice as normal but then had one quick flash ?
Anyone able to help?

No, the instance that i mentioned when the alarm flashed 3 times i had only moved the car from one space to another to let a van in. Saying that though, it always starts in the morning. Just seems that i can leave work and drive say 3 miles to the petrol station, fill up get back in and the car won't start.

Your suggestion might be worth a look though Would still like to know what the 2 flashes and a quick flash means though....
