I was disgusted to hear the some homeless people had been turned away from a Primier Inn on the recent bad weather, even though rooms had been paid for them.
I hear today that the homeless people had been sent to the wrong Premier Inn! So no bad thing done by Premiere Inn.
I can't find confirmation of this story yet!
Andi.

I heard that a homeless man in my town (and also, every town ever) is really a millionaire but decided to live as a tramp in poverty instead.

Can't find confirmation though.

Probably a fake news story for bots to farm likes and shares on facebook. Like the one after the Manchester Bombing where it said there where survivors in a Travelodge, please share. Turns out it was fake.

They kind of have a point and they will have the experience to know that their brand comes first as tough as it may seem. Probably past experiences people have left a mess, possibly drunkeness and anonoying other guests. Maybe not though.

All homeless people are secretly lizard men.

I can't find the "Here's 5 reasons why" confirmation though.

Because I can if I want to and I couldn't be bothered to try too hard to confirm it.
Why did you bother to ask?
Andi.
Because this is GD and is full of pedantics/weirdos/idiots/condescending-noobs/insert-adjective-here. You should know this by now ;)

The Premier Inn directly causes homelessness and bad weather.

I can easily post proof but won't cus I can't.

Also Lenny Henry punches lizards.

Seriously though, the Homeless problem in Chelmsford is really bad, and it's gotten worse as the city has become more 'wealthy' (expensive)

Recently one of the homeless died here, though he was in poor health anyway but clearly winter is not a time to be on the streets.

We have 'CHESS' which do have beds available for the homeless at night, but the shelter has a no alcohol policy and the homeless often have drink/drugs issues and so many homeless 'choose' to stay on the streets instead due to their addictions.

I'd say what seems like a good idea isn't a good idea. If you want to help the homeless then dontate to charities that help them or give you time to those charities. Paying for a room in a hotel won't necessarly help them and I don't blame Premier Inn for declining the rooms given what they have no doubt seen before.

"Elite readers"? Are these better than normal readers? Do they have a higher word per minute reading ability? Do they extract more content from the written words than regular readers?

C'mon man, life is confusing enough without these questions!

I trust you, not having the same business model as Whitbread's, give one or more shelter and respite in your own gaff? :)

When you book your next holiday muse on whether you and your family would take into consideration, when looking at value for money, sharing your accommodation and leisure facilities with vagrants of indeterminate origin, with a likely multitude of social intercourse issues.

Whitbread are running the UK's largest hotel chain, not soup kitchens.

The story was widely reported at the time, I just thought that the elite readers report would suit GD better ;)

When I use them I like to sit and run the bath red hot then keep the tap running for an hour at the precise amount where it keeps the bath from overflowing or the water level dropping.

I’ve recently learned I’m infertile and Premier Inn are definitely to blame for allowing me this pleasure.
