Ok so I'm looking to do a bit of light video editing with my 5d mark ii on Premiere Pro and immediately found once I added a few effects render speed went sky high. (I have a AMD X6 1080T, 12GB RAM, NVidia GT220)

This led me to looking into getting a supported Nvidia graphics card to take advantage of GPU acceleration. As graphics cards go I'm somewhat limited by a Cooler Master 500w Elite (Came with the Elite 430 Case) and I've identified the GTX 560 Ti that can be unlocked to run with Premiere Pro.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this combination? or with Nvidia graphics cards and Premiere Pro in general and how they influence rendering times.

I have a 560ti and use it with premiere's mercury engine. Works great pretty much everything runs real time (1080 50p) even 720fps game footage with effects. All you have to do is edit a txt file and add the 560ti to the list. There is a guide if you google for it, you have to make sure you get the hardware name of your card exactly right for it to work.
