Premiership fixtures 06/07

Rumour has it Arsenal's first game of the season will be away so they have extra time to iron out any problems at Ashburton. I hope so, my Sister is has only gone and decided to get married on the first day of the season  Women....

Whats the odds on Man Utd v Watford on the first day? Its just a feeling ive got. :)

The FA recently seem to give newly promoted clubs a big match as their opener.

I dont want to be a party pooper or come across as a wannabe mod , but..

There is a further clampdown from the FA on unofficial publishing of fixture lists.

The lad that runs the Newcastle board I post on has had an email this morning from the premier league warning against publishing them.

Linking to them from the BBC , Sky etc is fine though.

eh? This is from Liverpoolfc.tv - Liverpool's official site. They've been released now so it should be perfectly ok to link to them. :)

Rotty, that's exactly what I thought - plus there's no real 'heavy' time, the so called 'big' games are nicely spaced out - though september looks a bit dodgy.

ok , so if folks could only links to official sources and not publish lists here then that would be good :)

that should be fine , I suppose cutting and pasting here could have been an issue though

****, *****, ******* sister.

Villa at home on the 19th.

****

Hope I get tickets to Bergkamps Testimonial, or Sky stick us on TV on the Sunday.

Last game of the season Sat May 5 Chelsea H Title Decider??... or Sat Apr 21 Tottenham Hotspur Away, we will just have to make it a hat trick of titles won at WHL, how sweet would that be, to win more titles at their ground than they have in their entire history.

its a good opener for us blades fans, I heard about the issue with reproducing of the fixtures lists too, seems silly to me

Does indeed. At the end of the day it's nothing more than information about when events are happening. Quite how that can be classified as being intellectual property and subject to copyright law I really fail to understand.

How many times have we had West Ham as our last game? It seems we often get them.

Bolton have got an interesting bunch of matches between 30th October and 28th November. They have to play Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Wigan between these dates ALL at home.

Its because you have to pay for it , no other reason.

Sites with the official fixture list have something like this on the bottom.

Reproduced under licence from Football DataCo Limited. All rights reserved.
Licence no. NEWMEDIA/NUFCOM/97857a.

Copyright © and Database Right The FA Premier League Limited 2006. All rights reserved. No part of the Fixtures Lists may be reproduced stored or transmitted in any form without the prior written permission of Football DataCo Limited.

I'm aware of that. I just can't see how the Premier league can get away with selling such information.

Presumably if no-one chose to buy the fixture list from the Premier league no-one would know when the games are and no-one would turn up to watch the matches?

It'd be the equivalent of the Cinema charging you to find out which films they are showing.
