Whats the amount you have won and what is the amount Invested..

I have just bought 10K worth and hoping for the cool million :cool::p
 
And I totally misread that :D.

When I had 10k in there I was winning £25 every couple months. To had one £100.

I reckon they weight the new bond numbers in the random draw to keep people in :D.
 
Mine have been maxed out for year or two.
Never won anything of note, usually 25-50 per month. Still waiting on that bigger cheque!
I forgot the average % payout over a year period, but seems reasonable.
 
I have had a few since I was born(over 50 years ago)
Never had even a sniff at a few quid:mad:
Total waste of money imho:(
 
Why would you invest in these? Far better returns for relatively similar level risk levels elsewhere.
 
I had 5 one pound bonds in 1959 and one won £50 in early 90's

Had two 25's this month and I reckon over the years return has been around 1.5% - a lot different to good days of 2007-8 when it was 6% on open market savings. I really do need 6% again.:)

How have you managed that as a US resident?

Premium Bonds

If you live outside the UK, you should check whether local regulations permit you to hold Premium Bonds. For example, the US has strict gaming and lottery laws which mean that it may not be possible or practical to hold Premium Bonds while in the US.

Had £500 invested between 2006 and 2009. Didn't get a sausage. I then lost my job in 2009 and cashed it all out because it would have affected my JSA claim if I still had premium bonds.
 
I have 28k in five blocks of 5k, and 3k of random winnings, I usually get 50-250 a month (avg between 1500-1800 a year) from them way more than bank interest.
The most I've won in a lump was £750

*edit, had them since the early 90s
