premium to ultimate?

hi

i have got vista premium on my laptop , i was thinking about upgrading to ultimate using the windows anytime upgrade program

in it it says i need an windows anytime upgrade disk???, where do i get this from?

is it worth me upgrading , i really like that dreamscene extra that comes with the ultimate

Well, the dreamscene is cool, but keeps for cpu at 50 to 70% everytime it is running..which is not too good for a laptop. But if your laptop can handel Ultimate then cool. Whether it is worth it or not, you can decide, look at what Vista ultimate has to what you got and then see if you need the extra featurs or not.

Can't help you on the disk though - Sorry.

my cpu doesnt use anywhere near 50-70% with it running - the new dreamscene content pack is better. I think i hover around 20%.

hi

my laptop is a dell xpsm1210 so i suppose its fairly powerfull i did upgrade the ram to 2 gig

does anyone know how much it is to upgrade from premium to ultimate?

im still stumped about that anytime upgrade disk :confused:

A mate of mine got home basic on a Dell and they gave him the upgrade disk with it. If you look on the microsoft site, you can order one from there, just use the ugrade thingy in the welcome centre. On a less positive note, my mate tried the upgrade and it trashed the install. I had to talk him through re-installing Vista, dunno if he bothered with upgrade since.

thanks to be honest i dont think ill bother as i only reallly wanted it for dreamscene ,hopefully they will bring it out one day for premium

Aparently, there are loads of people on the Dell forum who are having issues upgrading their Vista. I guess the process is not that smooth at the mo.

What is the new content pack consist of? if I use my own video it uses less cpu power..

the new content pack is that pack of 4 test videos

the waterfall, the field, the plasma type thing and the puddles

i have vista home premium i clicked on anytime upgrade and choose pc world then its says Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows Vista Ultimate GBP 144.99 + Shipping and handling GBP 5.00 and an option for a free Windows Anytime Upgrade disc if u haven't got one ..
