Preorder Questions

Hi OcUK fans and staff,

So I know OcUK will be inundated with support tickets right now so my question might not be answered officially for a while, so I'm asking you fine people who will know their standard processes.

So I've pre-ordered a 5070Ti (I know, I shouldn't have done it, but I'm rocking a 1080Ti and the finance option made it a no brainer for me). I also ordered a Intel Arc A50 (for the time that pays for gaming).

Both on the same order on the finance option that can be paid off in 12 months interest free or spread over 4 years after that... Although I'll be clearing it in 12 months or less, hence it made sense to me.

During the basket process it said "Your basket contains a preorder item, this will be sent separately" or words to that effect.

Now my order sits as "Order Confirmed", that's it. Nothing dispatched yet.

So do they keep the A50 to one side while we wait for the 5070Tis come back in stock? Or do they pick and pack once everything is in stock and just hope the A50s don't sell out before then? Or can they split the order? With the increased margins on the 5070Tis over MSRP, I've probably paid enough for them to profit on the cost of delivery twice if they bounce them off Australia first, but that's the same everywhere... Supply and demand pricing. And nowhere else had the A50s so you guys won.

Haha, I get that but this forum is the official forum of the shop. I'm not asking like it is a shop, I'm asking people who shop on the shop who knows how the shop ships... As a shop.

Also because I have the patience of a flea on a hot brick, and I'm itching to play with new grown up children toys... From the shop.
 
@ServerIHardlyKnowHer what our esteemed colleague Mags is trying to say is that no one on the forums will really be able to answer that for you. There’ll be instances they ship separately, there’ll have been instances where preorder hold the entire order up. You’re only hope of any sort of serious answer will be to contact the shop side of things directly.
Ah ok, I've done that already, but I'm itching like the average 25 year old great grandmother around here on giro day.

The thread was more aimed towards people who had experience of this, but I'll wait for the shop people to email me back calling me impatient and to hold on, it's coming.
