as per title, me and my clan are preparing for a COD4 scrim tonight, but what is the best way to prepare and maybe ensure a win?

Play lots before hand, check all connections and make sure nothing is going to try and update/download while you're playing. Restart everything inc. routers. make sure you all have drinks etc at hand and last but not least - ENJOY AND STAY CALM

we are running the latest Pb, i know this cos it booted me last night :D im running Vista 64bit and PB dont updare for it :D

ive noticed myself that listening to Disturbed latest album Indestructible before hand, it severly boosts my gameplay...

Warm up for 30 mins before hand - not for too long, don't want to get in the zone too early. Have a WEE WEE and make sure drinks are availbale. Rebooting can't hurt. Look in the mirror and shout who's the man!??! a few times.

were 2 blokes short for the match, 1's router exploded last night, and the other is in spain should be there about now, so were 'borrowing' the top 2 guys from Dignitas, think we got a chance against sunday league jobbies :D

Using mercs used to be frowned upon in competitive Quake 2, you'd get disqualified for it. Even though it's only a scrim it's not exactly sporting is it.

true, its not sporting, then again these guys think there the worlds greatest TF2 clan, yet they got proper owned bt Four Kings when they raided there server

Make sure you have someone calling the shots, and make sure it's well known who it is, and set up seconds should they suddenly become unavailable. Make sure everyone knows exactly what their role is, defensive vs offensive styles of play and make sure you have a good balance. Connect up on voice Coms at least 15 minutes before the start of the match to ensure everyone is there and ready. Warm up a bit before the match, but don't over do it.
Have drinks to hand, and finger munchies if necessary, small stuff that can quickly and easily be popped into your mouth with minimal impact on game play, so no sarnies (please, please remember to mute your mic though, your team mates really don't need to hear you crunching away.)

Chill out and have a laugh.

i joked about the Dignitas members, as if id have the worlds best behind me?

Were using allies, yet still part of us, and ive got a cup of tea and a bag of haribo ready

I used to get way to serious in clan matches, luckily my Uni have blocked gaming so i'm a bit more relaxed now :p

Best thing is to stay calm, run over tactics before hand, and have good, constant communication with people calling where they are and where the enemy is.

Get someone to give a big motivational speech with 'Eye of the Tiger' in the background. We did this in our last TF2 match. It was hilarious :D

pfft I've played against (and with) some Dignitas members at ut3 a few times and beat them mostly :p

although they always slaughtered me one on one. Thankfully it was objective gameplay (which normally involved running them over with vehicles..)
