Prescott Hill Climb Championships 27/04/13

I went over to the Prescott Hill Climb today as it was practice for the first round of the championship.

I mainly wanted to have a practice myself, with low shutter speeds.

The first time I went there about 2-3 years ago, the best I could work with was 1/300th of a second.
A year later I was a bit better and able to score pretty well with 1/160th.
This time I thought I'd try 1/60th for most of the day. Not too bad. I took 750 pictures and ended up with about 10% that I'm quite happy with. I even managed a couple of 1/20th shots but they were a bit more hit and miss.
Finished the day in the pit area trying some 16mm f2.8 pictures for a bit of variety.

Very nice - No.3 from that set is really nice.

Good to see someone actually shooting with a nice long shutter speed to actually get feel of speed

I was crouching down behind the wooden fence to the owners club bit. Great little spot. No chance of being run over and a good angle for the cars as they turn to line up for their run.

Yeah would be nice to find out all the things I'm doing wrong from someone who actually knows what they're doing

Well I did mean it in the concept of "who is coming that knows what they're doing, rather than me as I don't really!"

The next big event is La Vie en Bleu, there are two Bugatti Veyrons confirmed so far... This is on the weekend of the 1st/2nd June http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/events/may2011.aspx

There were 2 guys in yellow vests standing at the corner on the road guiding the cars out so I think that's one of them and not me in a moment of fame
