Hello,

I got a pentium D 925 (3 ghz 65nm 4mb) to replace my p4 630 ( 3ghz, 90nm, 2mb), now i'm wanting to overclock it to at least 4 ghz, but i dont know the stock voltage for it (max stock voltage that it, like 1.4 for those 90 nm ones...) and the max temp wich was 65C for the 90 nm ones.

My current cpu is @ 48C under load overclocked with a slightly overvolted freezer 7 pro, the pentium D is just 10 watts more thermal design thingy on stock speeds, so i dont expect a huge rize im temps, however i'm unsure if they can take 65 C like smithfields and prescotts can.

If its too hot ill mod my freezer with a faster fan...

But in short for the lazy guys:
whats the max voltage & temp for a pentium D presler 65nm (not the 90 nm smithfield)

So 1.3 volts max according to the intel box in wich it came?
Ok I'll prolly push it to 1.4, perhaps 1.45, but not more...

What is the max load temp though, you say it runs fine on 60 C, so i assume it can work in the same hot envoirement of the 90 nm ones (upto about 65 C overclocked, but even upto 70-75C on stock ?) ? Or is 60C really the limit for the 65nm ones (dont want to break the cpu)?

Edit found into on intel site, 63 C max

Thanks for the Respnces.
