Pressure low

Hi everyone just joined so unsure if this the correct forum area, I have a low pressure issue on my old karcher 499M I stripped it down and found what I think is the issue, a leak between the high and low water pressure side (i think) jus above thr top of the triangle at the seem joint if the two half, I just need confirmation firstly that this is an issue before ordering parts, Question is is it supposed to have water shoot out from the low to the high around the small triangle area or is it meant to do this I was going to now say picture attached but dont see how to do this
