I was given an old Karcher k3 from my dad. It's probably around 10yrs old and i recently had an issue where it didn't seem to turn on, but is ok now as i tested it yesterday.

I've been thinking it'd be good to start giving the cars a regular wash as we have loads of trees around so get a lot of sap/bird poo. Plus we now have a reasonably sized garden and paved area which is incredibly mossy and slippy as can be seen below. Paving also continues round to the right after the house.

Have been looking at various attachments for my existing pressure washer and it seems by the time i've bought the patio cleaner add on and an in line detergent bottle i'm going to be around the £50-£60 mark

Looks like i can spend around £120ish and get a brand new model with all the attachments either the Nilfisk C120 or a Titan one from Screwfix for £90

Given i could probably sell my Karcher for around £40 at a guess. What would people do? Buy the attachments and stick with the Karcher or buy something shiny and new?

Why not just attempt to clean patio stones with it before shopping for alternatives?

if you have the attachment with the rotating ball bearing that's adequate on its own, and pre-soaking/brushing-in a (anti-moss)chemical will make it a doddle,
see earlier threads.

I don't have any attachments other than the main lance thing. Partly why i'm thinking it may actually work out cheaper to buy a new machine (with the warranty it brings) than buy additional accessories.

The C125 Nilfisk with patio and drain add ons is £100 in the Amazon Warehouse bit which keeps the full Amazon warranty.

As for using the lance i have, there's a lot of joints which need repairing. Whilst i accept it's a job i need to do, i'm reluctant to make it worse in the short term. Plus i figure the Patio cleaner head makes much less mess/spray.

Got the Nilfisk C120 (Titan from the red high street shop) the other week, cleaned our Indian stone patio up a treat, the patio cleaner speeds up the process quite a bit.

Just bought a k4 full control from the outlet will give my thoughts on it when it arrives also i paid like 9.99 to extend the warrenty from 6 months to a year
