Don't think this has been posted yet but the Tango project is most AWESOME for beautifying XP.

It really is very very slick, I'm using Black Mesa v2 Visual Style for XP in th eabove screenshots.

:/ click the hack-o-matic cmd file to install, tango is blue, tangerine is orange.

restore-o-matic.cmd will restore everything back to how the icons were before install.

Mine isn't looking anything like yours though....it's still very blue in places (if that makes any sense?)
 
this is made by the guy who also made 'inexperience'

copied the xpize method :)


i prefer xpize to be honest, its more a "what xp should have been" than an overhaul
 
You need to use a visual style of your choice to :) - this is icons only, not visual style! my VS is called Black mesa

thanks, i jus googled it and dug it up but cant for the life of me get it to look like it does there, all it does for me is turn it to windows classic and change afew colours

edit: didnt realise that the defualt windows config didnt allow this so i found an executable that hacked some files and it works now, thanks mate

I've been using this icon pack for about a week now. No idea how I found out about it. I wouldn't have looked so I presume I have you to thank mrk.

I use the icons in conjunction with the XPMC theme I found. I tried the Black Mesa v2 and didn't really like it but the XPMC looks gorgeous I think. I was quite amazed how much the icon pack changes the XPMC theme and makes it look much better.

Hmm What version of xp were you running? tried a system restore?

Worked fine for me! I updated the old tango patcher with the new one and it works fine! the new lgoon screen is quIte nice too :p
