Prevent automatic restart after blue screen without being able to boot into Windows

Greetings,

Windows isn't booting on my friend's computer. Half way through the loading sequence it bluescreens. However, it reboots before I can see what it is complaining about.

I need to disable automatic restart without being able to boot into Windows. How can I do this?

can you get in in safemode? hammer F8 after the bios screen

No, won't do safe mode either

Do you get the F8 menu? If so select the 'disable automatic restart on system failure' option.

For some reason overnight, the MBR corrupted. fixmbr from the recovery disc sorted it
