I am using my MS id to log in but frankly I could do without the login screen plastering my real name in big white letters and a picture of me along with my personal email address right there for anyone to see!

Is there a way to stop it showing this other than simply not using a MS id and choosing to log in locally only?

I don't want it showing my full name. And I certainly don't want it showing my bluddy email address to everyone! Why the hell it can't just show an account name of my choosing (but still using my MS account), and not display my email address. It's hardly rocket science.

WTF kinda security is it when someone steals your laptop, gets a big picture of your ugly mug, your full name AND your email address without even TRYING to log in to the thing. christ!

ok thanks. Doesn't really help as that means I then need to type in my whole name AND email AND password. I have it set to a pin number so I can get in quickly. Looks like local account is the only way to go.

What exactly are you after then?

You say you don't want your username/email address showing for the log in prompt. Yet complaining about having to enter that information manually each time.

The whole point of the Microsoft account was to make it easier for logging in to multiple devices. Change your profile pic to something less personal if you're more worried about the picture.

So you want to log in using your email address and password, but don't want Windows to remember your email address and password, but also don't want to have to enter your email address and password yourself...

Ok.
