I don't have Photoshop or any other image editor on my MacBook. Basically what I'm trying to do is slightly adjust the saturation on some of my photos. In preview I'm using the "Adjust Color" option under tools, however whenever I try to save any changes I've made it always crashes the application giving the application quit unexpectedly dialogue.

I can save size changes, it's just when I use the adjust colours option. Does this happen for anyone else or just me? I'm using a fully up to date version of Leopard.

Is there any other way to do what I want without getting Photoshop or using The GIMP which I hate :p

Thankyou for any replies.

Preview is a very robust app normally, perhaps try repairing permissions and running the maintenance scripts before trying again.

Failing that, try LiveQuartz, it is a free image editor that includes colour control and the core image filters. If you can I would go for something with a bit more power such as Pixelmator or Acorn. Both are very powerful (think 80% of Photoshop) but are very reasonably priced, £20-£30. :)

Other alternatives are Imagetricks or Imagewell, both free.
