I've had a 2500K from launch pretty much overclocked at 4.2ghz @ 1.24 since day one. I started getting random BSOD's recently and the only way to fix it was to lower my cpu overclock to 4GHZ. Am I right in thinking the CPU is degrading? Is it worth me just selling this CPU as it runs stock fine and just replace it with the same CPU in order to save me a possible problem in the future? I'm not looking to change socket or ram as if I'm right in thinking the newer architectures aren't that much more faster than mine just better power performance? I would upgrade the lot but it's just a lot of hassle for low gains? Thank you.
