So my order off the net came thursday, been playing it for a while. I think the one player is decent. I really like the multiplayer, mainly cos when you go in a round rather than check just side to side, you have to check the walls and ceiling. Dunno why but I think it makes it more tense.

What do you expect from a game running the Doom 3 Engine?!

I didn't think the demo ws too bad on the PC. Not enough for me to buy it though.
 
Any news on whether the textures are higher res in the full version than in the demo on the 360 ?

They're the same as in the demo :/ I only played it for a bit last night because I had other stuff to do, so I'm at the end of the demo levels in the main game. So far all the textures are the same, so on the visuals end I'm not impressed.

Given that IGN gave it a high score, I'm actually going to give it a chance and play it to bits.
 
Ive played and completed it, seems to me the demo was the best bit but it goes a bit downhill from there. Especially the ending which is just about fighting a few bosses and really boring.
 
I ordered Prey and am looking forward to it. Yes, I know that it's not a groundbreaking game but I figured I enjoyed the Demo enough to make the purchase. Besides... I will just fleabay it after I am done beating it. ;)

How do people sit down and play a game in one go?? i couldnt, it seems to be the way nowadays?? I think i read somewhere after you play it once, you unlock difficulty levels??

yeah u can ,, play the game on normal,,,, unlocks chrokee??:) ive been playing it , i got it this morning, its great little game, some awesome visuals as well, especially the bit where the plane crashes??:)

So far Prey hasn't impressed me at all. It started off really good I should add, but then it just went downhill from there. The usual puzzles, corridoors and non existant outdoor enviroments gave me the feeling that I've been there and done that a million times before.

The portal & walkway features are very good but on the whole its not enough. Puzzles are simplistic, the guns sound real poor and the models look pathetic. I'm already sick of the game and it's becoming a chore to complete (i'm at lv16 or so atm). The moment this game is finished I'm flogging it.

I should add that the schoolkid ghosty bits were very good. Reminded me of the school level from Condemned in a way so I got freaked out there...
 
Ive just this minute finished it, all i can say is stick with it kainz. This may put a smile on your face though.
