Price Calculation Software?

My friend wants some software to work out on the fly how much a job will cost for his joinery firm.

He would like to be able to put in the different variables (wood type, size of windows, type of window ect) into a page and calculate the price based on this... does anyone know of anything that exists or can work like this?

window. mac or web based

this, unless you're some multi national company with billions of items then this is likely the easiest way for a company that has a limited amount of varying items
