hi guys i am thinking of selling on my G4 powerbook now i have replaced it with a new MBP. the primary interested party is my mother so i am looking to an unbiased audience to find a fair price to ask her.
The PowerBook G4/1.67 17" (Al) features a 1.67 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and 512k on chip level 2 cache, 512 MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM, a 100 GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (5400 RPM), a slot-loading 8X "SuperDrive", a Firewire "800" port, built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme (802.11g), ambient light sensor keyboard, and ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (4X AGP) graphics with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM in an attractive aluminum alloy case with a 17" widescreen TFT display
mine was the very last powerbook they created so it has the upgraded resolution of 1680x1050
i have also replaced the hdd recently with a new 160gb western digital
i also replaced the ram and upgraded it to the full 2gb a few months after i bought it
it is boxed as new with all the materials and adapters included inc disk and manuals
it took a bit of a knock a while back and one of the corners has a little dent in it because of it. other than that its fine.
coconut battery reports the battery is down to 75% original capacity from the 100% when i got it new, battery still lasts for a divx film or DVD if on the move though.
any estimates appreciated!
