Hi Guys

We have shaved £20 off our TJ07 Window versions and a little off the non Windowed version.

As of right now, that makes us the Cheapest in the UK.

This is the finest case on the planet with no exceptions.
This case can fit a full, complex Watercooling loop inside with ease whilst only taking up as much room as a larger mid tower case.

The unibody chassis design is simply stunning in the metal, since the release of the TJ07, there hasn't been another case that has come close to the build quality, design and aesthetic of this case.

It's so good, I have owned two!

The Phanteks is an excellent case, but this has class, style and a huge, established modding community.

you can buy cold zero additions to make this case look truly unique

Thats the beauty of it. the parts that arent powder coated, you can easily replace with different parts. the case comes apart so easily, spray painting them yourself like I did is a piece of cake.

yeah of course, i used pulse modding rear and mid plates on my build. great quality.
 
the TJ07 has been out since 2006 in various guises. The only changed in that time have been motherboard tray layout and the modernisation of the USB 3.0 addition.

unless motherboards change format soon, I cant see any reason this case couldn't last another 8+ years of being able to house the most extreme systems.

either that or if Silverstone make it EOL for whatever reason.,

the corsair cases are more noob friendly and certainly make adding rads easy with their fan mounting points. but they are steel and plastic available in huge quantities, everyone sells them and they are affordable for a reason.

with a TJ07, just opening the box hints at something a little more special. It is a case with finesse that nothing has come close to beating on either quality or design since its release.

<3 the TJ07, but surely the newer larger versions have the same build quality and aesthetics?

Mine has housed
Q9450 + tri gtx 280
Q9450 + dual GTX 295
I7 930 + Tri GTX 480

Along with 11 HDD, 1 SSD, Fan controller, 120.2, 120.3 dual loops and all the shiny lighting and extra bits.

Best case I have ever worked in to be honest.

I would like to get the bigger newer varient but I can't bring myself to spendso much money for such a small upgrade, considering mine has been powder coated, splash anodized, custom mount points for pumps/res/rads and laser cutting of my name into the back panel.

I had a TJ11 briefly, It was a great case but not for me.

The TJ07 had something special about it. so much could be squeezed into it.

the TJ11 is perfect for building huge systems inside, but it didnt require any creativity to build something eyecatching in it. the finish and features of that case are staggering, but it just didnt have the TJ07 magic in my eyes.
 
fair enough. Ive given up on creatively squeezing more into my system - Although I do really want someone to mod the top for me to fit a triple rad in it to replace the dual rad, or stick one of those koolance triple units on the top etc. But, meh. Its just SO PACKED already lol
 
Ive always had my eye on the TJ07 and obviously, the silver finish on some parts turned me away, but seeing as pulsemod and coldzero make parts, would it be possible to make the case entirely black without having to powdercoat or spray paint? By only purchasing parts to assemble?
 
Would have disagree on the build quality comments, it's not as high as the Lian Li cases ( And yes I've owned TJ07 )

The TJ07 also needs a lot of work to make it any where near close to a modern case.

- Internals are not black.
- Cable managed is YEARS behind a modern case.
- Window on the outside of the panel looks ******.
- Can't get a lot of radiator in it compared to a modern case, have to use quite thin rads due to the PSU in the bottom meaning cooling performance will be less then a Primo which can house fat radiators.

You pay £220 for the case and then the same, if not more making it up to date and half decent rather then spending the money towards better components.

Entho Primo is the better buy and cheaper too.

If you prefer hairline brushed finish over the rougher looking/feeling matte sand-blasted finish, then it's possible you will perceive TJ07 to be of lower quality. And even with sand-blasted finish, there are different sizes of sand/bead to produce varying roughness. So how smooth the surface finish is on the case is not an accurate indicator of build quality. We opted for sand-blasted finish on the TJ07 for manufacturing yield and for more fingerprint resistant quality.

The TJ07 is also mostly a hand tuned and assembled case using a large unibody frame so its gap and tolerance aren't as exact as some of the mass-produced cases. This explains why we never offered side panels for retail sales separately because every TJ07 has unique dimensions and curved frame.

So with these points, we like to argue that our cases' build quality is not lower than Lian Li cases. In fact, we believe we are still ahead in terms of more technically advanced structures because they still have not managed to create a unibody case out of aluminum extrusion like our TJ07, FT01, or TJ11.

I think I would disagree with every point here but realistically, this is where case modders and system builders are worlds apart.

As I mentioned before: If you want a case you can just build in, then Corsair and Phanteks have great solutions with cable mangement, the TJ07 for such an old design takes very little effort to bring it up to modern standards.

Internals not being black: powder coat it. this shouldnt cost more than £10 or so if it actually bothers you. or spray paint it yourself. really easy job.

Cable management requires a small cut being made in the center section. This can be done with a Dremel or a hacksaw and even a novice case modder would be able to do this.

Window: I actually inverted my window using a tinted sheet of plexi, some sandpaper and some countersunk screws. cost around £20 and it looked great.

I ran a 480 & 240 in the bottom compartment as well as a 240 in the front bays. [some Lian Li optical bay vents made this possible - £20] there is also the option to do a mod to add a slim 360 in the roof.
There aren't many systems that need more cooling than that, and there aren't any modern cases the same size or smaller than a TJ07 that have that capability for cooling capacity. I used Thermochill PA rads in mine. The thickest radiators on the market at the time.

So my total cost to modify the case came in at £50. nowhere near double.


This was the original modders case, whilst it isnt perfect out of the box, the scope it gives you is unparalleled in any chassis design since.

I have a Lian Li currently as well as having built in pretty much every notable Lian Li case of recent years. The two brands are not really comparable.

The fact that the TJ07 is still in demand now is a testament to its design and prospects as a relevant and capable chassis for case modding and housing even the most extreme of systems

Temps whilst gaming

CPU - mid 60's

GPU's - low 40's

They aren't brilliant temps but more than happy.

As for cable runs - that's half the fun building it ( 2 holes cut in the rear)


It now houses the following -

M6E - [email protected] - - Sli 780's@1150/7000

Cooled by XSPC AX (480 x 55)

Temps -
CPU - mid 50's
GPU's - mid 40's


IMO it's a fantastic case - just needs a bit of thought b4 putting it all together. :)
