When oh when oh lord will the conroe come down in price it seems like forever
duke nukem fornever will be out before the 4300 is £70.

don't start this again mate, it's cheaper then comparable AMD processors and they come to the same price when you factor in the respective M/B's.

Core 2s have actually just come down by a few quid. ;)

They wont come down any more as AMD simply cant match them at the moment

I believe the date will be around April 22. Thats when Intel is apparently planning to reduce the wholesale prices.

For example the E6700 goes from $530, to $314, while the E4300 drops from $163 to $113.

well ocuk were well out on C2D pricing if you looka round anyway. they are just coming closer inline.

im talking about the actual cost available from distribution within the channel, the price has been static for weeks.

It amazes me how people ask for retail prices on members market and people buy them instead of getting one brand new. It's not as if there is a great amount difference these days in the overclock ability between the batches of CPUs.

LMAO! Poor you. :p

Not sure if you took that as some sort of reference to you but the comment was
about this topic.
Oh no, no reference at all. Care to point out who is asking for retail prices on MM?

For the record there is a great difference between batches at the moment. Chips around W40/41 (E4300) will hit 3.4GHz, while others won't and will hit 3.2GHz with less volts than other weeks.

So how about you stop moaning and go buy a retail chip already.

Have you been drinking ?

How is an opinion in regards to the OP that he can't even buy conroe cheap secondhand due to people asking the full or very close to the retail price be moaning. ?

I can't name names as i have never kept or wish to keep a list of all those that have sold on their conroe chips in members market and those that have bought them.

You are complaining right? Thus, you are moaning. How is that hard to comprehend?

Nice try, however I don't feel like turning this thread into a bitch slap. Maybe some other time. :D

I find it most odd as i'm sure the others do that you have come on this thread and for some strange reason chose to center me out as if something was aimed at you when the topic was about conroe prices?

Do you often suffer from paranoia ? or are you bored and looking to troll.

Others?

Odd, How so? You were last person to post in the thread and I feel the OP's comments had already been replied too.

Furthermore, the OP issued comments about when are Conroe prices falling and he received comments regarded his opinions. Where he asks when prices are going to be dropped, you start moaning about people selling chips at new prices when they have every entitlement to do so. Check the MM rules matey. :)

Again, nice try. :D:D:D

Anybody else wish to address Kaiju as he is most peculiar and it maybe best if i don't due to his emotional welfare and his odd reason to have an intrest in me ?

Intel will drop the price when AMD actually have a product to match them. Saying that the E6600 price has dropped by ~£30 +VAT in the last 2-3 months anyway.

There is though. Ones sold on MM would generally be poor/average overclocking chips, in my opinion, unless stated as reaching certain speeds e.g. "will go to 3.5GHz on x motherboard etc".

I didn't realise that there was such a big difference with the conroe chips as i have had my hands on loads of the older Pentium D and they all seem pretty much the same.

You would have thought with modern processing that they could all be made to within a tighter spec.
