Price Drops Soon?

I'm asking this encase I buy my spec then the price drops suddenly happen.

With the new 5xxx ATI cards out at good prices, will the nvidia cards drop in price soon as they can't compete with the ATI cards? I want to wait for the 300 series nvidia cards but need a pc now, so I want a cheap nvidia card, hopefully the gtx260, so will the price drop soon?

I don't think so as it seems many nvidia cards are no longer in stock, why not just get a 5850 as you'll be in for a long long wait for some new nvidia cards...

All of the mid to high end Nvidia cards except the GTX295 are now end of line - so no price drops as they'll all just go out of stock.

A couple of weeks ago I would have said the 5850 could drop to as low as £130-140 by the summer, thinking back to cards such as the GTX260, but now Nvidia are not bothering with graphics cards then I think even in 12 months, the 5850 will still be £179.
