Ouch thats painful, glad I stick with the cheap stuff, I couldn't justify much over £100 on a CPU even when I'm feeling flush

well amd was forced to drop prices becouse their chips were beaten by the new intel ones, if they wouldnt lower price, no one would want to buy amd for a long time, i mean would buy a 4800 for 539 when for 150ish you can get even better performance from a different chip.
